During the pandemic, control and isolation became the new norm. People went emotionally numb to the crowd and our life. The business shutdowns, the bleak nightlife, and the monotonous expression behind masks made me realize that we must get our life back on track and restore the old norm as soon as possible.
This research focuses on people who left the city and discarded items. There’re unique stories and memories behind them. Their abandonment marks the end of a relationship and a new beginning.



Two months later, after the lockdown, artist took pictures of some closed shops, collected the items abandoned at the roadside, and interviewed some residents, trying to use various media to re-establish the connection with old memories. It is an ongoing project, as the impact of the pandemic is far from being over.
